First of all, thank you for coming across my page and for taking the time and interest to read my blog posts. I am definitely not a writer but I am so passionate about helping people improve their mental health so I’m giving this a try. Wish me luck! :)
First off… a little about me! I am the owner of Exhale Therapy Hawaii, LLC and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in the state of Hawaii. Exhale Therapy Hawaii, LLC is a telehealth therapy practice. Meaning I only provide my services via an online counseling format. Services include individual counseling, couples counseling or family counseling via a secure online counseling platform. I love doing telehealth because I can reach people from all over the state and can help to provide the much needed therapy services in areas that have a more limited access to mental health practitioners. Isn’t it amazing what technology can do? I also find that my clients love telehealth therapy sessions as well! It allows them to be in an environment that feels safe and comfortable to them (typically their own home) and they find it so convenient to skip the commute (in what could be horrendous traffic) to get to a physical office. Overall, clients find it to be much more convenient, accessible and less anxiety-provoking.
Besides, my private practice, I am an independent contractor for another popular therapy company where I provide individual and couples therapy to my wonderful clients there. I also work with children and teens with complex and severe concerns related to their emotional and behavioral health within the school system. On top of that I provide support and consultation to teachers and administrators on how best to support all of our children but especially those students that need the most love and attention. Some of my past experiences include working for a local nonprofit agency providing outreach counseling, parent training, domestic violence victim counseling and trauma therapy.
As I go about this blog, I will cover a variety of topics. The topics may include various therapeutic/mental health topics, calming and coping strategies, specific life experience you may have faced and how to find hope, along with a variety of other topics. I also hope that this blogging experience allows you to get to know me so you can have more information to decide where I may be a good fit for you, a friend or a family member.
If you are ready to take that big step along your counseling journey and feel we may be a good match, you may schedule directly through the secure client portal. If you have further questions, please look at the FAQs or you may contact me to schedule a free 15 minute consultation to answer any questions you may have.
Thank you for reading my first blog post! I am so honored!
